A little about me...
Well, here's the basics--I'm a Montana native, and I've lived here all but one year of my life--I went to Wyoming for my first year of college. I realized just how much Montana meant to me, and I came back here to stay for good. I live here in Hamilton, in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley with my wonderful wife and kids.
I've lived all over the state, but I'll always consider the old mining town of Butte to be my true home town. I went to college at the University of Montana and earned two degrees--one in Radio/Television and one in Anthropology. Still photography is really my passion, but I also worked for a CBS affiliate for five years and shot hundreds of hours of video.
A little about Last Best Photography...
Montana is widely known as "The Last Best Place", and because the photography that I produce is centered completely around this beautiful place, Last Best Photography seemed like the perfect name. I think it sums up what we're all about very well...Montana photography.
I got my start as a photographer at a fairly early age. My dad let me borrow his old manual Pentax 35mm so I could learn the basics of photography. I burned up quite a bit of Kodak black and white film that we would develop and print in the darkroom he built in our basement. I have a lot of fond memories of those days, and I'm thankful for them.
From time to time, people ask me what type of equipment I use...click here for more information.
